When Studio John Sharp first met with Writer Jordan Firstman to reimagine the interiors of his Dion Neutra’s ‘Treetop’ suite they envisioned a space inspired by high glam 80’s corruption and the neon lights of freestyle nightclub disco dancing, that would still properly represent the cutting edge of the here and now.

Friends before collaborators, Jordan and John both saw exciting professional growth during 2020. As a way to forever hold that moment in time, they sought a collaboration with the aim to create a celebratory portal into something fresh with feeling.

With the intention of creating a space perfect for Jordan’s widely appreciated ‘Impressions,’ each part of the home was activated and designed as a backdrop to drop into another world.

Conceptualized as a site-specific installation, Studio John Sharp hand-sourced a plethora of monolithic art moments that around every corner showcase surprise after surprise.

Pushing away from white walls and the use of typical boho furniture, Studio John Sharp brought in inspiration from the 70’s  earth tone palettes and minerals, books and collections found in mid-century Eames homes, as well as the curved lines of the 60’s and glam expression of Post Modern style and flair.

Together, layer by layer,  at the intersection of design - through color, cacti, and curve, they created a reflective Case Study home.

Thus far, the project has been seen on SNL’s Chloe Fineman Architectural Digest Open Door: Quarantine Edition and was featured as  DOMINO Home Tour January 2021.

Historic Venice Canals Clubhouse

Studio John Sharp conceptualized  a lush and whimsical sanctuary that feels both comfortable and otherworldly. The design is inspired by futuristic nostalgia, mixing modern elements with rare and vintage finds from around the world.


Arranged in a way that consciously fosters connection,Studio John Sharp embarked on a mission to create an accessible and elevated environment where open-minded people from all walks of life could unite under the aspiration to hold space in a new way.

Clubhouse of Nostalgia

Studio John Sharp created a sophisticated and artful  space  designed with healing and openness at the forefront.  Using clean lines and a neutral color palette, John created a grounded space that feels both accessible and elevated.

Incorporating the use of  raw materials like petrified wood as side tables, larger than life cactus specimens, and gemstones, John was able to bring rare moments of nature indoors to aid in teleporting  patients to a safe and comfortable headspace and environmental experience.
